Review:
This is the one that did it for me, made me a 'Phan' for life. I fell in love with the first notes of the Overture. I knew this was something different, and that I'd love everything about it...and I was right. Michael Crawford is THE Phantom.  He will always have a special place in my heart since he was the first. Sarah Brightman's voice is perfect. I've heard she's not that great of an actress, but this part was written for her to showcase her voice, and it just shines through. Steve Barton is a perfect Raoul, the perfect voice. The rest of the cast is amazing, as well. This same CD set has been used for the American Broadway recording, there's no difference. Too bad, though, it would have been nice to have a different recording for the US. It's also the same one that was used for the Sydney Premiere CD. Now, that's a shame! There was no Australian cast ever recorded. I've heard Anthony Warlow and Rob Guest were amazing as the Phantom.

Review:
A slight disappointment. They never re-recorded the show when it came to the US. Instead, they repackaged the OLC, but put a little flag in the right-hand corner to denote the American edition. I feel like the Broadway Cast was gyped, since they were not recorded. Even though it's the same recording, I'm only giving it 4 stars for that reason alone. Most of this edition are hard to find, now.

Exactly the same as the Highlights version, except the disc is gold, and the booklet is different. Other than that, it's the same recording. For die-hard collectors only. I believe it was probably available for purchase at the studio the opening night in Switzerland.

Review:
This is just a new repackaging of the London Cast. A bit strange, since it is not broken down into separate tracks. CD 1 is one full track, and CD 2 is another full track. I'm told that when the first pressing for the CD was being made, that a few of them made it out like this. The error was corrected later on

Review:
Well another one that's just the OLC but in a new slip cover box, with Chinese characters on it, and the CD's are colored, with the angel from the proscenium on it. The sound is pretty good...I'm assuming that the Chinese put one out since there is going to be a tour there next year sometime.
